Summer School Activities - Water Fun

Yesterday we got to go to the library and have a bit of fun in some water games that had been set up. I could really see each of these as a fun game to do at home too!

The favorite game was picking up marbles in a wading pool using only your toes. For little guys they gave one minute to try to get ten marbles. Talk about your fine motor skills!

Even little Miss had fun trying this one and even got a few out!

The next game was trying to bounce a ping-pong ball into a cup of water. The more I think about it, though, the more it reminds me of college for some reason...

Another game was to eat an Otter Pop as fast as you could, shooting for under 1 minute. Talk about brain freeze! But both boys were able to smoke the older kids in this game.

Super easy - try to fill the pitcher with water using a sponge. Dip the sponge in the water and wring it out in the pitcher, trying to fill it up in one minute. They LOVED this game!

And finally, take  a piece of jello, put it on your forehead, and try to wiggle it down into your mouth. Not easy at all, and it makes your face a bit sticky, but they liked this one too.

All of these can be done for super cheap or even free and they were a great way to stay cool in the hot weather.
